Teeth per inch TPI stands for Teeth Per Inch.

Saw blades are most commonly rated according to how many Teeth Per Inch they have (1 inch = 25mm approx). This measurement will be presented as a number followed by the letters: ‘TPI’

What does a blade’s TPI actually mean?

Fast saw cut How many teeth per inch a blade has will affect:

1. How fast it can cut

Materials: wood, plastic, brick and stone 2. The type of material it’s suited to
rough and neat finish 3. Whether the saw will produce a neat or a rough finish.
