How to hold a Veneer saw correctly Grip the handle of the veneer saw in your dominant hand and extend your index finger along the top of the handle so that it points towards the end of the blade. Keep your finger extended when working to help you guide the saw.
You can place your other hand on the material, to steady it (as long you keep it well away from the blade).
You should try to position yourself directly behind the material being cut, and find a comfortable stance.
Wonkee Donkee says "A sheet of veneer is very thin and delicate, so you may find it helpful to place a flat board on top to keep it flat. The board can also be a guideline to help you cut a straight line"
