Conduit pipe bender former

Former / shoe of a conduit bender The conduit bender has one former at the end of its handle. This former can be controlled either by the handle or by the user’s foot.

Fulcrum mark on a conduit pipe bender

Conduit pipe bender with labelled fulcrum marking which is where the centre of the pipe is lined up to before making a bend The fulcrum mark is near the centre of the former and looks similar to a star.

When bending conduit pipe, the centre of the intended bend is lined up with this marking to make an accurate bend.

Foot press on a conduit pipe bender

Conduit pipe bender foot press The foot press on the conduit bender is at the head of the former.

The user presses their foot down on the press to slowly bend the pipe to the required angle.

As the conduit bender is often used with the former on the floor by the users foot, it is important to check the angles and mark up the pipe before bending.

Holding clamp on a conduit pipe bender

Holding clamp The conduit pipe bender has a holding clamp which the pipe slots into to hold it in place whilst it is being bent.
