What are the parts of a power tube cutter?
Power tube cutter blade
The blade of the power tube cutter is pointed at the centre. This optimises cutting performance, as the tube is pierced in the centre before it is cut.
Power tube cutter safety lock
The power tube cutter has a safety lock on the jaw which, when pushed in, locks the blade in place making it unable to move. This button should be left pushed in when the tool is not in use to avoid accidents.
Power tube cutter blade control buttons
The blade control buttons are on the front of the tool so they are easily accessible for the fingers. When pushed, they control the blade moving it backwards or forwards. The top button moves the blade backwards and the bottom button moves the blade forwards so that the tool can be used to cut tubing of different sizes.
Power tube cutter LED light switch
The power tube cutter has an LED light next to the blade which is controlled by the light switch. The light helps the user to cut in low light areas.
Power tube cutter blade removal switch
The power tube cutter has a blade removal switch near to the jaw. This releases the blade when pushed, so that it can be taken out and replaced with a new one if needed.

Power tube cutter quick release button
There is a quick blade release button on the side of the power tube cutter. When pushed, this instantly reverts the blade back to its original position. This is a safety precaution, but can also be useful if you are cutting a lot of tubing quickly as it saves time.
Power tube cutter handle with battery pack
The handle of the power tube cutter has a patterned panel which aids grip. It is also where the rechargeable battery pack is kept.
