As well as multiple torque settings, some cordless screwdrivers have a drill setting which is usually presented as a drill symbol on the adjustable torque ring. | |||

Because drilling holes usually requires more power than driving screws, selecting the drill setting automatically means that the cordless screwdriver will deliver the highest level of torque it can, in order to turn the drill bit.
The diameter and depth of the holes you can drill will depend on how powerful the cordless screwdriver is. |
