Static grip door and board carriers are used in pairs. With a pair of these carriers, two people should be able to lift materials weighing up to 90kg. Their design means they can be used by left-handed and right-handed people.
The carrier is angled by lifting or lowering the handle, with the sheet between two gripping arms. As one arm moves up, and towards the sheet, the other moves down, and also towards the sheet, until the grip is firm.
The spacing of the gripping arms means they can be used to carry relatively thick materials. This includes some items which are not in sheet form, as long as they have parts which can fit securely between the arms, such as step ladders.
