Step 1 – Release screw

There is a screw which holds the handle in position. To change the handle position, release the screw by rotating it in an anti-clockwise direction. You will need to use a screwdriver to loosen the screw.

Step 2 – Re-position handle

On most models, the handle will detach from the rest of the tool when the screw is released. It can then be re-positioned, depending on how you wish to use the tool.

The handle can adjust to be set either vertically, to be used as a plane, or horizontally, to be used as a file.

Step 3 – Insert screw

Once you have set the handle into the desired position, re-insert the screw into the slot and rotate in a clockwise direction to tighten.
