Simply put, gears dictate how much torque and speed are delivered to the chuck at one time.
Most cordless drill drivers have one gear but some models have two or three. The more gears a tool has, the more speed ranges it can offer. Please note: Information such as how many gears the tool has can usually be found in the product spec or user manual. |
