A gardening blow lamp is the largest type. It has a long burn tube which enables the user to kill garden weeds without having to bend over and hurt their back.
To use a gardening blow lamp, the flame needs to be swept across the ground around 50mm (2″) above the surface.
This bursts the cell walls of the weeds, making them dry out and die after two to three days, depending on the type of weed it is. For example, couch grass will not die out completely, as it will regrow from the roots.
