Deburring tools require virtually no maintenance or specific care, but a little attention may help to prolong the life of the tool.
Cleaning and lubrication
After use, the deburring tool should be wiped down and, if available, a small amount of oil or a specific rust inhibitor (oil based spray designed to prevent rusting) should be applied to the tool to prevent corrosion.
Storage
Deburring tools are best stored in their original box or in wax paper, which can sometimes be supplied with the tool.
They should be kept in a dry place, where they won’t be knocked or damaged.
