What are the types of lift hand magnet?

There are two different varieties of lift hand magnet available: standard and trigger.

Standard lift hand magnets

Standard lift hand magnets are the most basic variety of hand magnet available, and are simply made up of a magnet and a handle.

Due to the lack of a release mechanism, the standard lift hand magnet has to be removed from any ferromagnetic material with a hammer. For more information see How to use a lift hand magnet.

Trigger lift hand magnets

Although, like the standard lift hand magnet, the trigger magnet is comprised of a handle and a magnet, it also has a trigger which acts as a release mechanism.
