Step 1 – Insert rivet

Open the handles of the riveter and place the mandrel of the rivet into the nozzle.

It is slotted into the riveter when the rivet is being fastened. The riveter pulls the mandrel through the body of the rivet, expanding the pin and then snapping off the mandrel.

Wonkee donkee says, "Make sure the nozzle diameter is the same diameter as the rivet."

Step 2 – Slot rivet

Slot the body of the rivet through the hole that has been drilled in the material that you are fastening.

Push the riveter against the material gently to make sure the rivet is fully inserted.

Step 3 – Squeeze handles

Squeeze the handles with one or two hands depending on the type of riveter you are using.

Bring the handles as close together as you can when squeezing. This will create a second head to secure the rivet in place and pull the waste part of the mandrel out of the rivet .

Step 4 – Complete installation

Once the rivet is secured at both ends and the material is fastened, the installation is complete.
