Step 1 – Open lazy tong riveter

Place your dominant hand on the handle of the riveter and your non-dominant hand on the nozzle.

Pull the ends in opposite directions to fully open the lattice.

Step 2 – Place rivet

Place the mandrel of the rivet into the nozzle of the riveter.

Step 3 – Slot rivet

Slot the body of the rivet into the hole of the material.

Step 4 – Grab handle

Using your dominant hand, firmly grab the handle. You can place both hands on the handle for a more secure grip.

Step 5 – Push riveter

Push the handle of the riveter forwards.

Step 6 – Install rivet

Once you have pushed the handle as far as you can, you should hear a snapping sound which means that the mandrel has snapped off leaving the rivet with a second head.

If the rivet has not made a snapping noise, open and close the riveter again to make sure it installs correctly.
