Most drywall T squares are made from anodised aluminium, with epoxy paint graduations.
What is anodised aluminium?
Anodised aluminium is a form of aluminium with an anodised coating. Anodisation is the oxidation process of the aluminium’s surface. In the oxidation process, a reaction takes place to increase the amount of oxygen in the substance.
Anodizing increases the thickness of the natural oxide already in aluminium and this makes its surface harder.
