This process is an example of how to assemble a pair of plasterers’ stilts. Other models may vary.
To begin assembling, you will first need to loosen the tube clamps. Once you have done this, insert the lower strut tubes up through the bottom of the tube clamps. For the time being, leave the clamps loose.
This is where the tube clamps are located on a fully assembled pair of stilts.
Step 2 – Attach lower strut tubes
Next, attach the lower strut tubes to the brackets or holes provided using the hex machine bolts and washers. Position the washers on top of the strut tubes and under the bolt heads.
Step 3 – Tighten well
Tighten well when you have finished assembling.
Step 4 – Install struts
Slide the upper strut tubes down over the lower strut tubes and through the tube clamps, keeping the strap buckles facing towards the toe of the strap buckles.
Step 5 – Adjust upper strut
Position the upper strut tube so that the calf brace is just above the largest part of the calf.
Step 6 – Tighten tube clamps
Now tighten your tube clamps. (See manufacturer’s instructions).
Step 7 – Position tube clamps
The tube clamps should be positioned centrally in the clamp bracket slots and tightened well.
