There are a number of different types of inspection mirrors in a number of different sizes. This is because inspection mirrors can be used to inspect various objects, from small engine parts to the underside of large vehicles.
Telescopic inspection mirrors
Telescopic inspection mirrors come in many sizes and can have round, square or oval shaped mirror heads. They are called telescopic inspection mirrors because of their extending telescopic shaft.
Flexible inspection mirrors
Flexible inspection mirrors can have round or square mirror heads. They are characterised by a flexible shaft which can be bent into different positions to make manoeuvring around objects easier.
Unextendable mirrors
Unextendable inspection mirrors are smaller than other types of inspection mirror and, as the name suggests, cannot extend. They are often used for close range inspection of objects.
Inspection mirrors with magnetic bases
Inspection mirrors with magnet bases have a different structure to other inspection mirrors as they are not hand-held and so do not have a handle. Instead, they have a magnetic base so they can be placed on a ferromagnetic object while the user’s hands are free to do other tasks, whilst still being able to use the mirror.
Under-vehicle inspection mirrors
Under-vehicle inspection mirrors are much larger than other inspection mirrors and are used for checking under vehicles, buildings and other large objects.
These types can also be used to look on top of vehicles and above or over objects. Their larger mirrors gives a wider view than small inspection mirrors.
