The micro spiral extractor has tapered anti-clockwise threads which are placed into a pre drilled hole. Turning the spiral threads anti-clockwise will cause them to dig into the damaged, broken or embedded screw or bolt.
These are smaller extractors, used for more precise extracting such as that for the medical industry, as well as electronic and precision equipment.
Micro spiral extractor burnishing end (drill out)
The burnishing end is designed to reshape the inside of the damaged, broken or embedded screw or bolt to help accommodate the spiral extractor.
Micro spiral extractor shaft
The smaller and thinner shaft is why it has the name ‘micro’. The shafts of these tools are usually made of hardened steel which has been heat treated for high strength.
