Bolt grips have a square drive located on one end.
The square drive gives you the choice of using hand ratchets, air ratchets or air and electric impact wrenches.
Bolt grips commonly have two drive options: hexagonal flats or a square drive. Having the two drive options gives you a variety of tools to use with the bolt grips.
Tools can can fit a square drive will have a protruding square drive and usually come in sizes of 6mm (1/4″), 10mm (3/8″), 13mm (1/2″), 19mm (3/4″) and 25mm (1″).
Bolt grips most commonly fit a 10mm (3/8″) square drive and some are available to purchase that fit a 13mm (1/2″) drive.
The size of the square drive can be measured by the width of the square from one side to the other.
