Plasterboard joint tape maintenance and care

As plasterboard joint tape is a consumable product, there is very little to remember in terms of maintenance.

However, if your tape is self-adhesive scrim tape, it is important that you store it in an air-tight container, perhaps a sealable plastic bag. This will help to keep the adhesive fresh and will prevent the tape from coming into contact with plasterboard dust when not in use.

Storing your tape correctly will ensure that its adhesive stays fresh, extending its working life.
