The body is the part of the crayon the user holds when marking a workpiece. Although the crayon is essentially one whole piece, its body is usually covered with a plastic or paper sleeve. This sleeve stops the user getting their fingers covered in crayon. Crayon bodies are typically either round or hexagonal.
Tip
The tip of the crayon is the part that imparts the mark on to your workpiece. It typically has a rounded or conical tip.
