Keeping your pencils, markers, sharpeners and crayons clean will reduce the chances of foreign objects or dirt from ruining your marking or damaging your tools.
Storage
Pencils and sharpeners
Storing your pencils, and sharpeners in a secure case or tool-belt will reduce the risk of them being broken or lost. Keep sharpeners away from moisture as this will reduce the risk of the blade rusting and imparting unwanted marks onto your writing implements.
Alternatively you could purchase one of the accessories designed to keep your pencil safe and within easy reach. For more information please see the page entitled:What pencil accessories are available?
Markers and crayons
Markers and crayons should be stored in a cool, dry place away from moisture or heat sources. Marker pens should always be stored with their lid on so that unwanted marking or leaking of fluid is avoided.
