Step 2 – Fill voids and remove or score (scratch) paint
Some wall coatings will not cover joints in block or brickwork and so these will have to be repaired beforehand.
If you are trying to cover a painted surface, then the wall coating is only as strong as the paint to which it is being applied. This needs to be avoided if possible, with the painted surface being removed or scratched to allow a good adhesion of the coating to be applied to the wall. |
