Step 1 – Position bottle jack

Place the bottle jack upright with its piston in the lowest position and remove the filler plug.

Step 2 – Fill bottle jack

Using hydraulic oil, fill to the lower rim of the plug hole.

When purchasing hydraulic oil, ensure that it can be used with car and trolley jacks. Using incorrect hydraulic oil could damage seals or impair the jacks ability to lift properly resulting in jack failure and possible injury.

Step 3 – Insert filler plug and bleed jack

Replace the filler plug and bleed the jack of air.
