How do you use a chain pipe vice?

Shop for Pipe Vices – Chain

Step 1 – Secure chain pipe vice

Secure your chain pipe vice to either a workbench or a tripod stand.

Step 2 – Position pipe

Rest your section of pipe on the vice.

The end you will be working on should be sitting on the jaws, the other end, on the pipe rest.

Step 3 – Wrap chain around pipe

Loop the chain of your vice over the pipe and thread it between the jaws.

Step 4 – Tighten chain around pipe

Turn the crank handle until the chain has tightened enough around the pipe to keep it firmly in position.
