Removing an old bit

pull down the chuck sleeve

Step 1 – Pull down sleeve

To remove a bit from the chuck, pull down the chuck sleeve/outer collar.

Inserting a mortar rake

Push the drill into the chuck

Step 1 – Install adaptor, mortar rake and dust extraction

A mortar rake screws onto an adaptor before being inserted into a SDS Plus Drill.

 

Step 2 – Install mortar rake

Push the mortar rake adaptor into the chuck.

turn the drill bit until it slots into place

Step 3 – Turn adaptor

Turn the adaptor until it slots into place.

Onto the other end of the adaptor you screw the mortar rake !

Step 4 – Install mortar rake

On the other end of the adaptor, you can install the mortar rake.

insert dust extraction unit sds plus, adaptor and mortar rake all set up

Step 5 – Attach dust extraction unit

To the adaptor you can then add a dust extraction unit.
