Wonkee Donkee How to use a magic mitre A magic mitre box is a tool that enables you to match the mitred angle of your skirting or coving to the exact angle of the wall whether that be an internal or external corner.

The magic mitre box is a very clever tool enabling you to cut precise angles from 1 degree to 210 degrees.

Wonkee Donkee Measure the angle using the template provided on your magic mitre

Step 1 – Use template

Use the template to copy the exact angle of the walls on which you plan to fit coving or skirting.

Hold the template against the corner you want to measure.

Adjust the two sides of the tool so they lay flat against the wall. Lock the template in position by turning the centre screw clockwise

Step 2 – Attach template

Fix the template onto one of the pivoting workpiece holders.

Adjust the arms of the Magic Mitre by pushing the centre console forwards or backwards until the arms are set at the same angle as the angle measuring template.

When the template engages the second pivoting workpiece holder, the magic mitre is set at the correct angle.
