Plastic-handled caulkers are the cheapest in the range and as such are perhaps less durable. They would be ideal for small or one-off jobs as they are easily disposable.
Don’t be too hasty to throw it away though, caulkers are useful tools and have a wide range of applications! |

They are excellent tools for the professional or beginner, and should last you a long time even through the most extensive jobs. |

Moulded handles are usually made from plastic and are non-detachable.
When using a caulker to spread mixture, a moulded plastic handle is at a higher risk of snapping when under pressure. If you damage the caulker handle or blade there are no replacement parts, but fortunately moulded plastic caulkers are cheap to replace. |
