Both the wooden and plastic texturing brushes consist of two main parts: bristles and a handle (which doubles as the body).
Texturing brush handles
Wooden
The wooden and plastic versions of the tool vary slightly in shape. The wooden body is a simple narrow block. It often includes a hole to house a handle extension, however, it can be used by simply gripping the main body.
There are two possible designs for the wooden texturing brush: single-headed or double-headed.
Plastic
The plastic body is rectangular, with dimensions of 200mm x 150mm. it comes with a built on handhold and therefore is not extendable, like the wooden one.
Texturing brush bristles
Wooden
The bristles on the wooden design are usually set into a rounded base.
Plastic
The bristles on the plastic type are set in small round clusters on a more rectangular base. They are also usually shorter than the other alternatives.
