Texturing brushes are hand tools used to create a textured finish on walls and ceilings in the final stage of plastering or rendering. | |||

There are two types of texturing brushes: a single or double-headed wooden texturing brush, with soft bristles, and a plastic texturing brush with stiffer bristles (pictured above).
Despite the slight difference in appearance, they can be used to create very similar patterns. |

Texturing brushes are used to create the patterns now most associated with the trend of the 70s: Artex. | |||

But they can also be used to touch up other worn or damaged textured surfaces. | |||
