With the exception of the plastic caps, a tank connector tool is made entirely from stainless steel.
Stainless steel
Stainless steel is a steel alloy which contains a minimum of 10.5% chromium content. This mixture of metals creates an alloy which does not easily stain, rust, or corrode in water as normal steel does. Stainless steel has many applications because it is strong, versatile, and highly resistant to corrosion.
Stainless steel is the most commonly-used type of steel. It is used for many tools and implements such as cutlery, cars, transportation, household hardware, surgical equipment, industrial equipment, tools (screwdrivers, hex keys, nuts, bolts etc.) and the frameworks for buildings.
PVC
Plastic caps
The caps on the T-bar handle are made from plastic (PVC) and are there to increase your grip and ensure that the handle doesn’t fall out of the hole.
PVC (polyvinyl chloride) is the world’s third-most widely produced plastic and has a wide variety of applications and functions. It is used in everything from clothing to cable insulation, and from inflatable products to industrial hardware, (and caps for handles).
