Unscrew the nut from the tank connector and align it with the hole in your cold water tank.
Step 2 – Place connector through hole
Place the connector through the hole in your tank and insert the tool’s shaft into the connector.
Step 3 – Insert shaft
Fully insert the shaft and (on the internal side) engage the key with the dog drive.
Slide the nut over the shaft and (on the external side) begin screwing it onto the threads of the connector. Holding the shaft in a static position will stop the connector turning as you screw the nut onto the thread.
Step 4 – Tighten nut
Tighten the nut (by hand or with a spanner) until it begins to exert pressure on the rubber washers.
Step 5 – Attach T-bar handle
Remove one of the plastic caps and insert the T-bar handle into the hole in the shaft, then replace the plastic cap.
Step 6 – Rotate handle
Rotate the T-bar handle anti-clockwise. This will rotate the dog drive and allow you to tighten up the connector fitting until it creates a waterproof seal.
Step 7 – Disengage tool
To remove the tool, take off the T-bar handle, disengage the key from the dog drive, and slide out the shaft (from the internal side). Congratulations! You have successfully fitted a tank connector.
