Soldering and brazing mats are usually square or rectangular in shape. They don’t vary significantly in size and are usually available in the following dimensions:

300 x 300 mm (12 x 12 inches)
Rectangular
250 x 200 mm (10 x 8 inches)
300 x 200 mm (12 x 8 inches)
300 x 250 mm (12 x 10 inches)
Which size should I choose?
Before you purchase your mat, check the measurements – on the packaging – and make sure the size is sufficient enough for your application. A larger sized mat, for example, can be used to protect both the wall and carpet by wedging it behind the pipework.
