On some models of slate and punch cutter, the blade is replaceable. On others, a hardened blade is set into the tool so that changing the blade isn’t necessary.
Replacing the blade regularly will help to prevent wastage in broken slate tiles and will extend the life of the cutter.
Step 1 – Remove screws
Remove the screws on either side of the blade. Then remove the die that protects the blade, then remove the blade itself.
Step 2 – Insert new blade
Insert the new blade and replace the die. Replace and tighten the screws to secure the blade in position.
