Mixing boards should be positioned on a surface that will allow mess and that can support the weight of the board.
Do not place the board on to a surface that is expensive and can be easily damaged, or a surface that is carefully maintained such as a manicured lawn. |

Do not place the mixing board on a small surface that could allow it to tip easily.
If the board is unstable, a slight knock could tip it, causing material to spill. |

The mixing board can be carried from area to area without spilling.
Depending on the weight, one or two people can transport it when working in different areas. |

Stands are available for some types of mixing board. The board is placed on the stand after mixing your materials. The material is then at a suitable height for you to reach, saving you having to continually bend down.
