Compared to some of the other wood bits, brad point bits are produced in relatively small diameters, as they are designed mainly for joinery.
Bits are available in both metric and imperial to cater for all DIYers. Metric bits range in size from 2mm to 25mm, and imperial bits range from 5/64″ to 1″ in diameter.
To accommodate the need to drill deeply into some joints, including boring through wall studs to install cables, brad point bits are available in lengths up to 600mm (2′).
