Cleaning

Keeping your taping knives clean will preserve their life. Taping knives are best cleaned with water and a little elbow grease. |

If your taping knives are prone to rusting, rubbing them with WD40 can help to keep them clean. |

Allowing drywall mud or joint compound to harden on the knife will make it much more difficult to clean.
It can impair its use until all the hardened mud is removed. It can also promote rust to form on the metal of the knife. |
