Gas leak detector spray is used by gas safe engineers to identify potentially dangerous gas leaks in pipework, valves and other fittings. Gas leaks can be caused by vibration, corrosion or mechanical faults. | |||

The spray can be used to trace leaks of all types of gases, including natural gas, hydrogen and CO2. | |||

It is used by heating engineers following the completion of a gas tightness test to double check that there are no gas leaks. | |||

After the spray is applied to, for example, a section of pipe work, if a leak is detected, bubbles will form to indicate that there is a problem.
The larger the bubbles, the more severe the leak. |
