Folding car creepers

The trolley section will often have a split back design that allows dual application. To switch from car creeper to seat it only takes a short amount of time with no tools necessary.

How to switch from car creeper to seat

Step 1 – Release lock

Push the lever in to release the lock.

Keep hold of the lock and pull the band on the back bench to raise the seat towards you.

Step 2 – Raise seat

Whilst holding the lock lever down, pull the band on the back bench upwards to raise the seat towards you.

Step 3 – Release locking lever

Release the lock lever to engage the lock with the seat’s leg bar and lock it in place.

Car creepers with adjustable headrests

Car creeper, specialist mechanics tool, mechanic, maintenance, DIYer, wonkee donkee. Some car creepers come with an adjustable headrest to support the user’s head in different positions. The adjustable headrest enables the user to get a better view without straining their neck.

On the back of the adjustable headrest there should be a slotted adjuster with a series of grooves enclosed by a retainer. The adjusting rod has a U-shaped portion that is placed between the series of grooves and the retainer.

Simply push the adjusting rod forward to release the U-portion from the grooves and place the headrest to your desired height or angle.

Then, place U-shaped portion into the groove to lock the headrest in place.

Contoured car creepers

Some models also have indents on either side, which can be used as tool trays for storing tools while performing maintenance.

Some models of contoured car creeper have an LED (Light-Emitting Diode) light that is flexible and can be positioned at any angle to help improve working conditions.

Low profile car creepers

These creepers usually have four large castor wheels with extra wide tyres to easily manoeuvre over rough surfaces such as gravel, grass, broken concrete, sand, or garage floor obstacles such as cords or floor drains.
