Case |
The water leak alarm is housed in a hard plastic case, which protects the electronics within.
Buzzer |
The buzzer is inside the leak alarm, as part of the circuitry. It provides the alarm part of the device. The sound is released through a hole in the case.
Sensor |
The sensor consists of two thin wires, which pass from inside the device, along the side to the base. They are positioned close together, but not touching. It is when water touches these that the alarm will sound.

Battery |
The battery in a leak alarm is replaceable and so there must be access to it on the device. This will be similar to other battery access points which are familiar to us, like those in a TV remote. A panel will slide out and the battery will fit into an appropriately sized slot, clip on to a clasp, or both.
