Vee blocks can be used to hold round parts horizontally under a mill or drill press. This is useful if you need to machine through the body of a metal cylinder or pipe. Step 1 - Position your stock Position your stock in the v-channel of the vee block and turn the threaded nut of the clamp until it makes contact with the workpiece.
