Step 1 -Turn off water

If working on an existing pipe structure, make sure the water is turned off before you begin.

Step 2 – Place cutter on the pipe

Place the cutter around the pipe so that it rests against the cutter’s rollers.

Step 3 – Turn the handle clockwise

Turn the handle clockwise until the wheel is touching the pipe enough to score it.

Step 4 – Rotate cutter

Rotate the cutter around the pipe anti-clockwise by the handle, making sure to keep the wheel in the same line on the pipe.

Step 5 – Tighten the wheel

After every two to three turns, tighten the wheel by turning the handle slightly and continue the cut.

Step 6 – Deburr

Once the cut has been completed, the pipe may need a slight deburring using a pipe deburring tool.

Wonkee Donkee says; Cuts of soft metal only take a couple of minutes to complete. However if cutting steel or iron the process will take longer.
